Boris Rozas<\/strong> is an Argentine-Spanish poet based in Spain and the author of more than twenty poetry collections. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has developed a distinctive voice within contemporary Spanish-language poetry, characterized by restrained, melancholic, and lucid writing that observes the present without artifice and transforms everyday experience into poetic material.<\/p>\n

His work engages with themes such as memory, displacement, precarity, violence, family bonds, and the fragility of time. Through poetry built on precise imagery and controlled emotion, Rozas records the lives of those who inhabit the margins: children, parents, workers, survivors, and figures shaped by contemporary exposure.<\/p>\n

Throughout his career, he has published titles including Ragtime<\/em> (2012), Invertebrados<\/em> (2014), Las mujeres que paseaban perros imaginarios<\/em> (2018), Annie Hall ya no vive aqu\u00ed<\/em> (2019), Lugares a los que volver con el buen tiempo<\/em> (2022), and Rave<\/em> (2024). His poetry collection Wes Borland aprende a tocar de o\u00eddo<\/em> received the 2025 VI Juan Ram\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez International Poetry Prize of Coral Gables after being selected from more than five hundred manuscripts submitted from over forty countries.<\/p>\n

His work has been recognized in numerous national and international competitions, and he has participated in festivals, readings, and literary gatherings at a range of cultural venues.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, After Bambi<\/em><\/a> (2026) was published by Valpara\u00edso Ediciones. The book maps contemporary exposure through borders, suburbs, roads, and spaces of loss and resistance. Boris Rozas\u2019s poems \u201cCuenco\u201d and \u201cNi\u00f1os del zoo,\u201d featured in this installment, are taken from this recent publication. It is also worth noting that After Bambi<\/em> will soon be published in English by Valpara\u00edso USA under the same title, After Bambi<\/em>.<\/p>\n
